Spirits, Angels and Demons
What classifies as a "Spirit", "Angel" or "Demon" in this universe depends on these things:
Spirits, Angels and Demons exist outside and within Pelepia, some that even reside among Pelepian residents. However, they tend to cover up their identities in order to not attract unwanted attention. To do this, they go into a "Mortal Form", but in this form they are often weakened and prone to getting hurt. When they go into a "Mortal Form" they lose their halo as well as other things signifying their true identity. Angels usually live in the Heaven's World, whereas Demons live in the Underworld and Spirits in other dimensions or Purgatory.
SPIRITS
Spirits can vary in nature, meaning they can be good, neutral or evil spirits. They also may or may not have a halo. Spirits are created when a dead mortal is stuck in Purgatory and is not accepted in either the Underworld or the Heaven's World and cannot reincarnate, therefore, they are sent back to the Overworld in a spiritual form. Regular spirits will usually delegate themselves to a particular land, object or element and reign over it. Spirits may also still inhabit the Overworld even after death due to not being able to pass on, normally caused by an abrupt death and unresolved issues. These particular spirits are classified as ghosts and often tend to be malicious due to unrest. Ghosts normally cannot pass on unless an outside force can help them find peace.
ANGELS
Spirits with a Light affinity are classified as Angels. These Angels are usually good-natured with good intentions, however the reverse can also happen in some cases. All Angels are usually identified with a halo that can be anywhere on the body. More Angels are created when a dead mortal navigates themselves out of Purgatory and is allowed into the Heaven's World (by proving they have relinquished all of their vices). The final form of an angel is known as an Archangel. Angels are granted immortality and immense power to fight demons and protect overworlders. However, many have become self-righteous and arrogant, believing they are morally superior and sinless over other "imperfect" beings.
DEMONS
Demons do not have to have the Dark affinity, but they tend to do in most cases. They have a tendency to be more malicious and evil, however the reverse can also happen in some cases. The final form of a demon is known as an Archdemon. Unlike Angels and Spirits, Demons are also the only ones that can be classified as "species" for they can have multiples of the same being. They also have multiple ways of being created, such as:
- Infecting other mortals or becoming a parasite produced by another demon. Because of this, they are often classified as an advanced Virus type species.
- When a dead mortal navigates themselves out of Purgatory but is sucked into the Underworld to become corrupted.
- Killing or corrupting an unrestful spirit (ghost).
They also have different categories, such as:
Type A: Also known as the "Highbreed" type, these demons are the first, original demons who appeared in the Underworld. They have no blood connection to any other non-demonic species. They consider themselves to be true, purebred demons and often look down upon other demons. Many of these demons are also Archdemons
Type B: These demons resemble animals and mortals from the Overworld and are often considered corrupted versions of them. They can either reproduce by infection or be created from a mortal.
Type C: This type of demon are usually manifestations of abstract concepts such as nightmares.
- The creature is capable of higher level and rational thinking, creative thinking, is able to solve problems, and use logic and reason to understand the world around them
- The creature is able to use language to communicate. They are also able to adapt to other languages that can be translated.
- The creature is unable to die by natural means, but can be killed and mortality can be bestowed upon them as a means of punishment (however, some Demons are able to die of old age)
- The creature is much more powerful than most Mortals
- The creature can exist both in the mortal world or immortal worlds
- The creature cannot reproduce. However, more spirits, angel and demons can be created by other means.

Tier Jumpers
Some mortals have the ability to "Tier Jump" on the Hierarchy of Being to higher states of being. Such as going into Spirit mode for example or Arch mode. However this ability is very rare and only happens to a select few who deem themselves worthy. They also cannot stay in their forms for too long however. Here are the list of mortals who have tier jumped to Spirit Mode (keep in mind that Metal affiliated characters have an alternate Spirit mode called a Berserk Mode) :
