Elements and ATtributes
In Pelepia, powers and abilities are categorized by elements or attribute. There are 10 elements in total, some having multiple sub-elements. Most creatures are affiliated with an attribute by birth. If they aren't, they are categorized as being Unaffiliated until they find their element later in life or in rare cases, can be blessed with elemental powers after a life changing event, usually granted as a gift from a higher power, like a god or spirit. In some cases, the person will need to tier jump to a higher mode (like Spirit or Arch mode) to have these powers.
Despite all of the elements having a vast array of abilities, most creatures affiliated with an element usually dabble in a small section of an ability. For example, someone affiliated with the Light element may be able to heal, but cannot use light energy offensively. However, more abilities can be learned if the person has the will and potential to. Most people are only able to learn one or two elements. To be able to be affiliated with three elements however, is extremely rare. Those with multiple elemental combos may be able to learn how to combine them to their advantage. (see below for some common combos and how they work!)

LightLight is one of the oldest elements ever created in Pelepia. Those attributed with Light can manipulate light energy, positive forces, and in some cases, healing. It also has an anti-demonic/dark affiliation and is the opposite of the Dark elements. Often times Light abilities are stereotyped with having benevolent/good intent, but this is not always the case.
Light is strong against Dark offensively but weak defensively. It is also strong against Metal but weak against Psychic. FireThe element of Fire deals with the manipulation and creation of fire. The person affiliated with the element can rapidly combust material to release high amounts of heat, or can create fire out of thin air by absorbing a lot of oxygen. It can be also created from friction of rapidly moving objects, usually from Metal objects, or can be created from various gases mixing together. Fire elementals also have a stronger resistance to high temperatures. Fire is seen as the opposite of Water.
Fire is strong against Plant but weak against Water ElectricThe Electric element deals with the manipulation of lightning and electricity, or the energy given off by charged particles. They can change electricity flow and can release discharges. Some can also make things levitate by manipulating electrical fields. When combined with the Air element, the user can also conjure up lightning storms.
Electric is strong against Water and Air, but weak against Metal, Earth and Plant EarthThe element of Earth deals the manipulation of earth, dirt, soil, rocks and minerals. Those affiliated can create and destroy earth material at will. Some can also control seismic activity underground and can uproot large amounts of ground. This element is also responsible for giving rise to the Plant and Metal elements, sometimes thought of as an offspring of the Earth element. It is seen as the opposite of Air.
Earth is strong against Fire, Air, and Electric but weak against Water and Plant MetalMetal is a relatively new element added to the list that is closely related to Earth and Fire. Metal abilites deal with the manipulation of metallic elements at will and inorganic/unnatural objects. People affiliated with this attribute have the ability to create new metallic objects extremely quick and can regenerate them when they are destroyed. When combined with the Electric element, magnetic powers can emerge. Metal element characters also have a higher form called a Berserk Mode instead of a Spirit Mode.

DarkDark is one of the oldest elements ever created in Pelepia. The attributed with Dark can manipulate dark energy, negative forces, antimatter and curse/corrupt powers. It also has an anti-angelic/light affiliation and is the opposite of the Light elements. Often times Dark abilities are stereotyped with having malicious/evil intent, but this is not always the case.
Dark is strong against Light offensively but weak defensively. It is also strong against Psychic but weak against Metal. WaterThe element of Water deals with the manipulation of water and other liquid forms. They can shoot water at an opponent at high speeds and pressure. Some can also cause water spouts, whirlpools and tsunamis. Some can also manipulate the water to have healing abilities. They also tend to be very good swimmers, obviously. A subcategory of the water element is Ice, which is basically manipulating water, but at its solid form. Water is seen as the opposite of Fire.
Water is strong against Fire and Earth but weak against Plant and Electic AirThe Air element deals with wind and air manipulation. They can control the direction of wind and can also control gas elements. Some can even conjure up storms and whirlwinds. Most affiliated with this element are able to fly by bending the air around them against gravitational forces. Or by flying with wings of course. Some Sound based attacks are affiliated with the Air element. It is seen as the opposite of Earth.
Air is strong against Plant, but weak against Earth and Electric PlantThe Plant element is an attribute closely related to Earth. It deals the with manipulation of living things (that do not have a will of their own) and plant manipulation. Some affiliated with this element can change the biology of things by controlling life from cellular levels and can sometimes alter genetic makeups. Healing abilities are usually strongly related to this element as well as Poison abilities, which is a subcategory of the plant attribute.
Plant is strong against Water,Electric and Earth, but weak against Fire and Psychic PsychicPsychic abilities deal with the distortion of the senses and manipulation of psychic energy, closely related to the Dark and Plant elements. Which include sight, sound, taste, smell and feeling. Those affiliated can create illusions, invisible forces, and can sometimes manipulate the abilities of other living things. The Psychic attribute often deals with the magical or supernatural. Some attributed with Psychic sometimes have healing abilities as well.

Unaffliated
Unaffiliated basically categories everything that is not affiliated by an element. This includes physical and mental abilities like strength and intelligence. However, those with potential have the ability to raise their strength and intelligence to superpowerful levels.
Complementary elemental combos
Sometimes two different elements can be combined in different ways to unlock new abilities to help emphasize their potentials! A person can be either affiliated with two elements or work with an ally together to unlock these abilities. Here are some common ones that work well together. Keep in mind that these are not the ONLY element combos!
Fire and EARTHFire and Earth can be combines to control plate tectonics and volcanic activity.
Electric and METALElectricity and Metal can be combined to create magnetism.
Fire and LIGHTSince Fire also creates light, it can also intensify the power of Light affiliated powers.

Water and AIRWater and air can be combined to create powerful storms and allows the user able to manipulate clouds.
PSYCHICPlant andA person (or two allies) with both Plant and Psychic abilities will be able to manipulate both organic life forms and the senses.
PSYCHIC and DarkPsychic and Dark can be combined to create what is known as "dark magic"
