Weaponry Farms and Bio-Weapons
Weaponry farms are highly illegal facilities that produce "Bio-weapons", which involves taking living creatures and turning them into living weapons. When the creature has finished its transformation into a Bio-weapon, they are sold off for military use at extremely high prices. Bio-weapons are highly valued not only for their destructive potential, but also for the fact that they can act on their own (meaning soldiers do not have to man them) while still obeying orders, and they can oftentimes regenerate.
These farms are known for their abhorrent, inhumane treatment of these captive creatures. There is no discrimination based on intelligence, animals, mortals and demons are all fair game to be captured. Over 10,000 creatures can be hoarded into one farm, though constant deaths can reduce those numbers quickly. Because of the horrific conditions inside these facilities, the majority of the workers and guards tend to be robots instead of actual people. These actual people instead take the role of overseers, scientists or agents, and more often have psychopathic tendencies.
Weaponry farms are usually built secretly in hard to reach, remote areas to avoid being discovered by authorities, such as on deserted islands, deep in the jungles, asteroids, harsh desert lands, or underground. These farms have diminished in numbers over the years, as more have been discovered and liberated, but the psychological effects they can have on their victims usually remain permanent.

Process
Agents from weaponry farms will often scout and capture creatures they feel have the "potential" to become a powerful Bio-weapon. These creatures are usually hoarded with a good number of other creatures to the facility and are dumped into a cell where they will live out their days until they completely lose their selves. Creatures are named and marked by numbers, which further dehumanizes and erases their identity. The time it takes to become a Bio-weapon depends on the individual and what is done to them. Sometimes it can take 6 months to several years, and it usually goes through three phases:
The "first phase" of the Bio-weapon creation process is forced fighting. These forced, gladiator type fights are designed to weed out the weak, undesirable creatures from their facility so they can focus more of their resources on the stronger ones. Because food in the facility is scarce, the victor will often take and eat the defeated opponent as a reward.
Once a creature has come out on the top rankings of their fight records, the "second phase" begins. During that time, the creature will be experimented on, have body parts replaced, their DNA altered, forced to fight and eat each other, and slowly lose their memories, sanity, self-consciousness and autonomy. Creatures that cannot endure or survive these ordeals will be seen as worthless and be put to death, and their dead bodies will be repurposed for something else.
When a creature has proven its worth of becoming a true Bio-weapon by surviving the experimentation and winning all fights, the "final phase" begins where they are taken to a separate part of the facility and will forcefully take in power-enhancements to maximize their abilities. Since power-enhancements are scarce and valuable resources, they are only used on a selected few. At this point, the creature can no longer remember who they once were.
Once the bio-weapon creation process is finished, the creature becomes completely unrecognizable to what they once was. Their memories are completely wiped and they can no longer feel emotions or form opinions. They have no will of their own, and do not do anything unless commanded to. In return, they now have devastating new powers that rival demigods and a body of unimaginable strength. But with no identity, they can no longer be considered a living thing anymore, but merely just a tool for mass destruction.

Effects on Survivors/Escapees
Those who are able to be freed or escape from these facilities before they completely lose themselves usually suffer permanent psychotic problems. Most commonly are PTSD, depression, insanity, hyperaggression and asocial/antisocial behaviors. Depending on how long they have been there or how far they got into the experimentation process, these issues vary in severity. The survivors also may have a fuzzy memory and have trouble expressing emotions. Consistent therapy can help alleviate some of these mental issues, but in many cases they are too far gone to be helped.
Physically, survivors will adapt to the changes done to their bodies, but there can be negative side effects depending on what was done to them. A common one is routine sickness, where the body will get rid of toxins and chemicals in their system. Survivors may also develop insecurity issues and depression due to the irreversible changes done to their bodies.
